Cajun Catfish Strips
dude this was the best place i've been to in tacoma in a long time!! never tried catfish strips before but it was very delicious! i can't wait to go back
Fried Green Tomatoes Starter
My wife and I went to the Southern Kitchen for the first time. Definitely won't be the last time. The food was excellent, service was the just the same. We look forward to the next time. Joe

Placed an online order, food was ready on time, service was friendly and everything I ordered was AMAZING!! Definitely will be going back! If you haven't been here, highly encourage you too go give them a try. You won't be disappointed!!

We hadn't been in for a minute, but were not disappointed in our meals! The chicken is an all- star, the sides plentiful and tasty, and the service and community just what the soul needs.

My husband had catfish filet sweet potatoes and okra I had Cajun catfish strips French fries and red beans and rice / strawberry lemonade. All were excellent would highly recommend!! Some of the best southern cooking in Washington.

Biscuits & Gravy
The eggs that came with our biscuits and gravy had the darkest yellow yolks I've seen in a restaurant. They are great! But the biscuits and gravy were the star. Big buttermilk biscuits that tasted like buttermilk every bite and great cream gravy, southern style with sausage. They don't serve bright orange gravy(?) like that other place down the street. Lastly the hash browns were evenly brown and delicious. (Yell at me if you wish but I grew up in Texas and I know good biscuits and gravy!)
Big Tex Brisket
This is the meal that I miss the most. If I could get this airmailed to me overnight I'd be eating it once a week! By far the best brisket I've had and I've had it from all over Texas and the South and have tasted none better. Miss you all so very much
